Hello, my name is Patricia Estiverne and I am your school counselor. I will be helping all students with issues that may be affecting their academics, emotional, personal, and social interactions. I received my counseling training from Florida International University's Counselor Education program and completed my internship at Miami Central Senior High School. I have been working in the field of education for over fifteen years, with three of those years as a school counselor.
I am looking forward to seeing how much you will blossom this year. I will be working with you, the wonderful students at Benjamin Franklin, and your parents/guardians with:

Promoting positive attitudes among students towards self, family, peers and community.

Assisting students in learning how school performance relates to future opportunities.

Developing and delivering classroom guidance lessons.

Teaching skills such as decision making, resolving conflict and respecting others.

Providing support during a personal crisis.

Working with students on attendance issues.

Coordinating referrals to outside agencies.

Helping to create a safe and positive learning experience.
